Team members at a local Volvo retailer are celebrating raising over twelve hundred pounds for a local charity.
Waterhouse Cars in Baynes Place, Chelmsford, has supported a number of local and national charities for the last six years with a variety of fundraising ideas. This year they chose Farleigh Hospice to benefit from their annual charity quiz night, hosted at the retailer.
With the addition of a coffee morning, the team managed to raise far more than they had expected, a grand total of £1,277.53.
Founded in 1982, Farleigh Hospice is a local charity that helps provides hospice care to people affected by life-limiting illnesses across mid-Essex.
Nigel Pavely, Dealer Principal at Waterhouse Cars, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be supporting such an important charity, and to have raised such a fantastic amount!
“The turnout at the event was amazing, with over 150 members of the Chelmsford community attending to help support local people living with terminal illnesses”
“We already can’t wait for this year’s quiz night, and I’m confident it will be bigger and better than ever!”
