Thurrock Council’s Fostering Team are hosting a number of events this month as part of Foster Care Fortnight.
Foster Care Fortnight, which is running from Monday 13 May to Sunday 26 May 2019, is a national campaign to raise the profile of fostering, its benefits and how it transforms the lives of children and young people.
Pop along and meet the team to find out more about fostering, have your questions answered and receive information about the benefits of fostering with Thurrock Council.
Upcoming events taking place are:
• Saturday 18 May – open morning event at Laindon Community Centre from 10am to 1pm
• Wednesday 22 May – drop-in information stand at Liberty Shopping Centre in Romford from 9am to 6pm
• Thursday 23 May – open evening at Orsett Hall Hotel from 6pm to 8pm
• Wednesday 5 June – open evening at Upminster Golf Club, the Boardroom, RM14 1AU from 6:30pm to 8:30pm
Cllr Sue Little, Portfolio Holder for Children’s Services said: “Whether you have been thinking about fostering for a while, or you are looking for new challenges, Thurrock’s fostering team are looking for foster carers who want to make a difference to the lives of children and young people.
