Toomai Square – food review

Having received an invitation to sample the delights of Toomai Square in Greenwich, 5 mins from the O2 arena, we were keen to see what all the fuss is about and we weren’t disappointed.

Upon arrival we were met by the manager as we bypassed the considerable queue to be shown
to our table. Our waitress took our order and brought us over delicious prawn and thai crackers with sweet chilli sauce.

We then ordered veg spring rolls and grilled satay chicken. These were both sweet and succulent and perfect to munch on while we waited for our mains.

All produce is freshly cooked so when the order is ready it is delivered promptly to the table rather than sitting under a hot lamp. This ensures that the high quality is maintained.

Back to the food and I chose the Salmon red curry whilst me friend went for the Lemongrass seabass.

The fish melted in the mouth and there was just enough fire in the dishes to give it a good kick. consumed with enthusiasm.

They also had a good selection of cocktails while I thoroughly enjoyed the classic that is porn star martini, my friend enjoyed the Toomai Square martini, a refreshing and light offering rather than the usual dull offerings of some other establishments.

We left the restaurant vowing to return in the not too distant future as, again, we passed
the large queue. This time on our way out though.
