The former X Factor star, winner of Celebrity Big Brother 2013 and presenter of Big Brother’s Bit on the Side, will be taking a break from filming on Saturday to join local women on Saint Francis’ Hospice Star Walk, getting ladies in the mood for their charity stroll with a special performance.
“I used to hang out in bars and clubs in Romford so I know how much people there like to have a good time so I’m really looking forward to it,” says Rylan, who lives in Stanford le Hope. “It’s like a dream come true – me and loads of girls up for a party night!
“I’m really looking forward to entertaining all the ladies before the start of the Star Walk,” he adds. “Everyone at the hospice is so friendly.
“I do hope loads of people sign up as it’s not about whether your family is directly affected it’s just about supporting a really great local organisation that helps so many people.”
The Rio themed, ladies only 10km night walk, will kick-start in The Liberty at 10.30pm on Saturday, 5 July, with Brazilian samba dancers and stilt walkers waving off the hundreds of women raising funds for the local charity.
Centre Manager, Jonathan Poole, says: “The Star Walk is such a popular event, it’s something that we at The Liberty look forward to every year as it’s a great opportunity for the community to give back and raise funds for such an important cause.”
Places in the Star Walk are £12 each, include a t-shirt and you can book now by calling 01708 771427 or going to sfh.org.uk/events.
