Officers from Southend Local Policing Team recently seized over 180 cannabis plants.
On Sunday, May 6, acting on information from the public, officers executed a warrant at an address in Southend.
The Force Support Unit forced entry into the property, where they found a number of illegal items.
The team searched the address and seized more than 180 cannabis plants. They also found a large bag which contained what is believed to be cannabis and an offensive weapon.
No one was arrested. Pc David Grant, who organised the warrant, said: “This is a really good result today with enquiries ongoing.
“This is just one example of the work we do to tackle drug-related crime. We will always act on information given to us and urge members of the public that have any information about drug-related offences in their area to call us.”
