A photographer from Chelmsford has been presented with a prestigious award for her work with newborn babies.
Jo Bradley, from Chelmsford has recently obtained the Master Craftsman qualification with the Guild of Professional Photographers
Jo was the first newborn photographer to obtain this respected accolade and is one of only two newborn photographers to hold this title in the United Kingdom.
Jo said: “I am honoured to have been awarded the Master Craftsman status. I pride myself of ensuring that the first two weeks of their baby’s life are captured in a precious and bespoke way.”
Jo’s passion started as a hobby when she was a teacher. After having her two children she started to develop her passion into a business.
Nine years ago Jo started off in general photography before deciding to specialise in babies; she now has a home studio.
Jo continued: “I just love photographing newborn babies; it’s so lovely to see them in those first few precious days.
“I had to present the judges with 20 photos which all followed a theme, but were different. I then had to make a presentation to the judges in Stoke on Trent.
“I joined the Guild in 2014 to push myself and to gain some more training and support and I started to move through their levels.”
The Guild of Photographers is a highly regarded national photographic body and represents the height of the photographic industry.
