THIS weekend, children’s favourites Peppa Pig and George will be visiting the Epping Ongar Railway.
Following their appearances at the Railway in May, Peppa Pig and George are back making personal appearances at intervals from Friday to Sunday. Plus, to make the event even more fun there will be face-painting, a petting farm, bouncy castles and of course steam train engines.
Dave Horsley, organiser of this year’s Peppa Pig visit, said: “Once again, the cheeky little piggies will be meeting and greeting the children at North Weald Station at intervals throughout the day. We had so much fun in May, we’ve asked them to come back for three days this time. Do come and say hello to Peppa Pig and George. They are celebrating 10 years of Muddy Puddles, so bring your wellies and join in the fun!”
A family ticket, bought in advance online costs £36 (a saving of £4 on the day price) and gives all day entry for two adults and up to three children. In addition there are a range of online discount tickets for adults, children and concessions.
Roger Wright, Managing Director of the Epping Ongar Railway said: “Last year, outside of the Christmas season, two of the busiest days of the year were when Peppa Pig visited the Railway. Book your train tickets in advance to be sure of getting the best value fares. We’re putting on extra buses to provide more seats for the passengers and remember that we also run direct buses from Shenfield Station.”
The event runs on Friday, 8 August, Saturday, 9 August and Sunday, 10 August. For more information, visit eorailway.co.uk.
