Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust is once again opening its doors to welcome new nurses and midwives.
The next nurse and midwife recruitment open day will be held at Queen’s Hospital on Saturday 2 February – and prospective candidates could bag a job offer on the spot!
It’s a great opportunity for people interested in working at Queen’s or King George hospitals to speak to current staff and managers to find out what to expect, and what support is available to develop a career in nursing.
Anyone who is qualified as a nurse or midwife is welcome and the Trust is keen to see recently qualified nurses, as well as those who have some experience, or even those who are returning from a career break.
Patricia Kigozi is a newly qualified nurse who joined the Trust last year. She said: “I’m learning so much here and I feel really supported so I would recommend that anyone looking for a nurse or midwife role to come along. I’m sure you’ll love working here as much as I do!”
Chief Nurse Kathryn Halford told The Enquirer: “We look forward to welcoming lots of nurses to our hospital on the day. It will be a great opportunity to meet the team and get an idea of what it’s like to work for our Trust.
“If you want a role where you will be valued, get to help people everyday, feel rewarded and be part of a supportive team, this is exactly the opportunity for you. “
The open day runs from 9am to 2pm.
