Chelmsford Museum hosts its second annual open art exhibition until 13 January 2019. 55 artists from the Chelmsford area have submitted their work to the museum for a chance to see their art hang on the museum’s walls. 104 pieces have been submitted for the exhibition.
Well-renowned artist John Doubleday opened the exhibition this week and said: “The exhibition is a welcome focus for those whose impetuous is their own interest in the creative process. Society needs people who think creatively and it is a source of concern that our public life and in particular, education leaves little room for the development of creativity. We need those who can offer alternative perspectives. The works in the exhibition will offer visitors an opportunity to engage with the creative journeys that come together to make the show”.
Entry to the museum is FREE and is open Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm. Fridays closed during term time but open 10am to 5pm during school holidays, and Sundays 1pm to 4pm. For more information visit:
