The wedding planning has slowed down a bit over the past couple of months, I seem to be constantly on photo sharing website Pinterest and reading wedding magazines for inspiration, but no actual planning has been made.
I suppose you could call this ‘the sourcing stage’, where we are getting all our ideas together so when we are ready to book it can be all go go go!
The right wedding photographer has always been at the top of our wish list – they are pictures that we are going to have displayed in our home forever so it’s important that we love them!
We thought about trying to find someone cheap and cheerful, but we soon realised no matter how much we tried we always steered to a certain style of photography that isn’t always cheap.
Shane and I have always loved the whole vintage look and it’s really important that our photography reflects that. We also like the very natural shots – I know you have to have the standard posed group shots but apart from that I want the photos to be very natural, so people don’t feel uncomfortable with huge camera lenses shoved in their faces.
And then we found – The One. Mindy Coe is a photographer based in Woking and as soon as Shane showed me her work I was sold. Beautiful, fly-on-the wall photography with posed pictures that aren’t your standard wedding photos, Mindy has a style of photography that is going to be perfect for our big day.
So that’s the photographer booked, that just leaves the dress, suits, flowers, favours, invites, rings, makeup, hair…the list goes on and on!
