RUN by filmmakers for filmmakers and film lovers…
June 2017 will see the launch of Chelmsford’s first film festival, a four-day event where filmmakers and film fans will gather together in a celebration of all things cinematic.
Taking place from June 7-10 it will feature talks from industry professionals, workshops, Q&As, screenings and networking opportunities culminating in an awards ceremony and closing party.
It will give filmmakers the opportunity to showcase their work to a new audience and meet like-minded industry professionals to share ideas and inspiration. The festival aims to put Chelmsford on the map as a place for creative hub for the film industry.
Festival founder and film director Carl Mackenzie said: “We’re passionate about film and filmmaking and we think there are lot of other people in Chelmsford and Essex who are too. This is a great chance to come together to show what talent there is out there, share ideas and meet industry professionals who know how the film world works.”
Andy Pinkney, festival founder and director added: “We think Chelmsford can be a hotbed of film talent, from acting and directing through to editing and visual effects. The festival is an opportunity to show people what you can do in a friendly, creative environment.”
Details of screenings and other festival events will be announced shortly but the organisers are now looking for submissions for short films, documentaries and music videos to be shown at the festival.
