A 20 year old from Leigh-on-Sea has become a finalist in a sexiest vegan award.
Leigh-on-Sea native George Sear beat out numerous other entrants to become one of eight male finalists in PETA’s UK and Ireland’s Hottest Vegan Competition 2018.
George, an actor, said: “I always felt a connection to animals, a deep love for them and a need to protect them.”
George has attended protests against Canada Goose and participated in Cube of Truth outreach events to speak to people on the street about vegan living.
“There’s nothing sexier than someone who is committed to helping animals and the environment, and it doesn’t hurt that vegans are, on average, healthier and more energetic than their meat-eating peers,” says PETA Director Elisa Allen.
“Each one of the finalists in PETA’s contest is a living example of the strength and vitality that can come from vegan eating.”
Other handsome, sizzling sexy vegans include; Joaquin Phoenix, Jared Leto, and David Haye.
The two winners of the annual contest, modelled, in part, after PETA’s Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrities contest, which has honoured Leona Lewis, John Bishop, Thandie Newton, David Haye, and many others, will each receive a trip for two on the luxury five-night Christmas Markets cruise to Germany and Switzerland’s Rhine and Moselle rivers, courtesy of Vegan Travel.
This year’s winners will be chosen based on several factors, including vote count, and will be announced by 13 August.
