It’s official! The BBC 2 Eggheads will be hosting the biggest quiz in town and they want you to join them.
Saint Francis Hospice’s Big Orange Quiz will be held at The City Pavilion in Collier Road, Collier Row on Friday, 22nd March and once again it will be led by Barry Simmons and his clever team mates Chris Hughes, Steve Cooke, Kevin Ashman, Dave Rainford and Lisa Thiel.
Last year 900 people attended the annual event and enjoyed an exciting evening as they challenged themselves with the wide variety of rounds which included current affairs, general knowledge and the fan favourite ‘mystery round.’
The Eggheads will also be mingling with supporters and offering people the chance to have a photo taken with them or buy an answer to a question in return for a donation.
Juliette Whittaker, the Hospice’s Events Manager, said: “This is always a great night out whether you’re a first time quizzer or a regular at your local pub quiz.
“We hope people will come along to support the event and make it even more successful than it was last year, so we can continue to provide our specialist care services for patients and their families when they need them the most.”
And to add to the fun, we’re inviting people to personalise their table and there will even be a prize for the Best Dressed Table.
Doors open at 6.30pm and the quiz begins at 7.15pm.
Make sure you bring along your snacks and drinks to boost your brain power!
Individual tickets cost £15, (includes a £3 donation) and a table of 12 costs £155 (includes a £20 donation which will almost pay for one hour of care on our inpatient unit).
