Bear Grylls launches survival academy in Chelmsford

Bear2TO keep the kids active this summer, Bear Grylls has launched a survival academy in Chelmsford.

The British adventurer and TV personality has teamed up with Fit For Sport to launch his very own Bear Grylls Survival Academy Kids Courses, offering youngster across Essex a rare chance to learn Bear’s survival techniques and keep active.

Taking place at The Wilderness Foundation, Whitebread Farm Lane in Chelmsford across two weeks in August, the Kid’s courses are designed for children aged eight to 12-years-old, teaching them how to build a fire, build a shelter, navigate in the wilderness, discover dynamic rescue techniques and also learn about natural foods.

“The Kids Courses are a fantastic way to get kids back to basics this summer and are aimed to inspire the next generation of adventurers,” says Bear. “It is a safe yet exciting adventure which teaches kids new skills and above all, getting them outdoors!”

The Bear Grylls Survival Academy Kids Courses run at The Wilderness Foundation, Chelmsford from 9.30am to 3.30pm on Wednesday, 6 and Thursday, 7 August as well as Monday, 18 and Tuesday, 19 August.
