They have shared whats set to be hot this year…

Quotes from Carly Price, Muse of London
Hair colour
For 2019 we will see a lot of copper tones and strawberry blondes with lots of dimension and shine. For brunettes who want to update their hair colour but don’t want to fully commit to an all over rich and fiery red copper hue, copper highlights are great and will give the hair depth, movement and will also warm the hair up coming into SS19.
Bold pop bright hair colours will also be popular this year. Think sunshine like yellows, petrol blues, fiery oranges and fuchsia pinks. These hair colours are not for the faint hearted and will definitely allow clients to stand out from the crowd and show off their personality. It’s all about pushing the boundaries with colour. If your client is feeling really adventurous, teaming two bright hair colour shades also looks incredible such as blue and green to give the hair a stunning mermaid like hair colour transformation.

Haircuts and styling
For 2019 it’s all about effortless, messy hair. Messy textured hair looks great with all hair lengths and types, however, I particularly like this look teamed with a shoulder length cut. This look is easy for clients to achieve by simply sleeping in braids overnight or by using texturising sprays such as salt sprays to mess the hair up. I also love using hot irons to create soft ‘undone’ waves in client’s hair to give the hair a romantic finish. Choppy, heavy mid length cuts and bobs I predict will also be popular this year that give the hair dimension and weight for a sexy, structured finish. These hairstyles are perfect for those with thin hair to give the hair body and volume.
Fringes that were popular in 2018 remain for 2019; however, we will start to see people experimenting with longer fringe hairstyles. Longer fringes are great as they frame the face, add shape to the hair and do not require as much styling as a regular short fringe would.

Quotes from Jay Birmingham, Celebrity Stylist and Owner of Jay Birmingham Hair
Length is going to be on trend for 2019, unimaginably long hair that pushes boundaries is set to be at the forefront of hair. Extensions will be key this year for both length and also for adding plush thickness to hair to give that full, plump effect. In terms of styling I think the path of naturally textured hair will continue throughout 2019. We are moving away from super straight, ironed out hair and moving towards embracing your natural curls and kinks whilst still playing around with that cool girl LA inspired wave with crisp straight ends for a modern finish.

Quotes from Jim Shaw, Owner of Essensuals Billericay
This year it’s all about hair accessories such as hair clips, bows and ribbons, and using them to update your hairstyle and give it a statement. Ponytails are on trend this season and a low ponytail paired with a velvet ribbon is such an easy to create look but really does look super chic and sophisticated. Effortless waves are another trend this season and look great when paired with statement clips and with the hair draped over one side for a glamorous look. Topknots are also super on trend hairstyle this year and look fantastic when worn loose and messy and also when worn polished. This hairstyle is perfect if you wear it to work/during the day or if you wear it on a night out – it’s so versatile. For a looser topknot, apply some texturising spray or dry shampoo before creating your topknot for added texture and for good hold. For more of a polished look, finish by using some hair serum or shine spray on the hair to ensure all flyaway hair and frizz are gone and the topknot looks sleek and shiny.

Bobs are a big hit this season and there is a bob hairstyle to suit everyone’s hair type and face shape. Shag like hairstyles are also popular, where lots of texture and layers are incorporated into the hair. This haircut is great as it’s pretty low maintenance and suits most hair lengths and textures.

Clients are being a lot more experimental with colour these days and therefore, bright and pastel shades remain popular, as well as metallic and grey hair, which is particularly great for blondes who want to give their hair an update. Balayage and bespoke colour placement techniques also remain very on trend, especially during summer time, where we see a lot of clients wanting to add depth and dimension and lighter pieces to their hair, giving the hair a gorgeous sun kissed look. For blondes, as we come into summer we will see a lot of blonde haired clients going lighter and opting for balayage, highlight and babylight services.
