Families at Hadleigh Park learning new skills.
Families will be able to unleash their wild side this half-term at Hadleigh Park during an action packed ‘Warrior Week’.
There are two family activity days to challenge every age and ability. The family activity days are designed to teach skills needed to survive as a warrior in the iron-age, even stone-age.
The Family Hunter Gatherer Day offers families to the chance to spend time in the depths of the woods learning about ancient survival techniques as well as putting some into practice. Trainee warriors will build their own shelters as well as cook over an open fire.
Under-5s can bring their teddy bears along for a fun filled Teddy Bear Warrior Day where they can enjoy crafts and warrior activities in the iron-age roundhouse.
All teddies are sure to be well dressed for the day with the chance to create bear-sized swords and shields before setting off to explore the warrior trail.
All week the park is running a self-led trail to give warriors willing to brave it on their own a chance to discover some of the parks amazing wildlife and earn their very own wildlife warrior certificate.
Rob Anderson, Hadleigh Park Manager said; “This half term, children and their families can unleash their wild side whilst exploring the great outdoors. We have a wide range of activities fun for the whole family to enjoy and find their inner warriors.”
