Coming to Hylands Park in Chelmsford on 22 and 23 August, Virgin Media’s V Festival features a stellar line up of stars including Stereophonics, Olly Murs, Sam Smith, Ellie Goulding, George Ezra, James Bay and Hozier.
The 20th Birthday celebrations will officially launch on Friday from 7pm at the Sure Arena presented by Club MTV with a host of DJs ready to tear up the dance floor. The line up includes R3wire and Varski, DJ S.K.T, Martin 2 Smoove, Freejack and The Faders, until 11pm with a headphone disco from midnight.
Onto the weekend and the hottest names in music will be performing alongside hilarious comedy headliners including Southend’s own Russell Kane, Frankie Boyle, Shappi Khorsandi and Seann Walsh, who will all take centre stage in the Glee Club Comedy Tent.
“We have two of music’s biggest and most in-demand acts as this year’s headliners, supported by a cast of the hottest and most popular musical and comedy talent around,” says Festival Director, Simon Moran. “In the last 20 years, V Festival has been one of the biggest platforms in the UK for established and emerging acts to showcase their sound and this year won’t be any different.”
Live music will be spread across four stages over the weekend including the Virgin Media Stage, MTV Stage, Sure Arena and The Dance Tent with artists such as The Script, Ella Henderson, Tom Jones, Example, Labrinth, Paloma Faith, Nero and many more.
