Industrial heritage celebrated in style in Dagenham

Steam and Cider Fair

Over five thousand people made it an afternoon to remember as the popular Steam and Cider Fair hit Old Dagenham Park.

The Summer of festivals in 2018 has attracted record crowds and local residents turned out in their numbers once again for one of the most popular events.

In scorching conditions, lovers of steam engines and classic cars were in for a treat as the borough celebrated it’s rural and industrial heritage.

Classic car parades and historic steam engines were among a number of attractions on offer to the thousands who made their way to the free event in Dagenham.

Some would argue there is no better way to celebrate a hot day than enjoying a refreshing, ice cold real ale and there was certainly plenty to choose from.

One Borough

There was something for the whole family to enjoy with rides and workshops for kids as well as live music from Dolly Parton and Elvis (the very best tribute acts). The fun doesn’t stop there as excitement now builds ahead of One Borough and Roundhouse Music Festival.
