Zo Stimulator Peel

Delivering exceptional results

MANY of us think we may have a good skincare regime cleansing and moisturising daily, but in reality there’s so much more we can do to ensure good skin health. Heading towards my mid-40s I want to ensure I can cling onto that ‘youthful glow’ or exude a ‘youthful glow’ for as long as possible.

Zo Skincare products

A friend recommended the ZO skincare range renowned to deliver exceptional results when it comes to keeping skin healthy, youthful and vibrant.

Created by Dr Zein Obagi (hence the ZO name) the range includes a wide spectrum of therapeutic products, daily skincare solutions and treatment protocols that create and maintain healthy skin for all skin types, genders and ages. The products stimulate the deeper skin cells to repair, nourish and hydrate.

At The Face, Aesthetic Skin Clinic in Billericay, they promote the ZO Skincare range and offer a ZO Stimulator Facial Peel as one of their many in-clinic treatments.

The stimulator peel combines three exfoliating ingredients – salicylic, lactic and citric acid which remove dead skin cells and superficial blemishes. It stimulates cell turnover for continued improvement and reduces fine lines and wrinkles. The ideal treatment for my skincare needs!

In just 45-minutes my face was gently cleansed using ‘Exfoliating Cleanser’ to target excess oil and pore-clogging debris. Vitamin E in the cleanser provides hydration during the cleansing process. ‘Exfoliating Polish’ (skin-smoothing scrub) was next used. Packed with Vitamins A, C and E it also contains ultra-fine magnesium crystals to exfoliate dead skin cells.

After this was thoroughly cleansed off, the ‘ZO Stimulator Peel’ was applied packed with powerful antioxidants to create smoother, firmer and brighter skin. It was applied all over the face avoiding the delicate eye area and left on for a couple of minutes before removal.

A light, silky-feel ‘Growth Factor’ serum that boosts collagen and elastin production was next used followed by Daily Power Defense containing retinol, antioxidants and specialised DNA-repairing enzymes which work to help minimise UV damage and uneven pigmentation. Stimulating collagen production the ‘Power Defense’ also helps diminish fine lines and wrinkles. The treatment ended with an application of a sunscreen and primer with a SPF30 which also helps to tighten and firm skin leaving it beautifully soft and protected.

Immediately after I noticed how clean and fresh my skin felt. Its surface too was less bumpy normally caused by impurities and not cleansing thoroughly. Blemishes also seemed to be less obvious. Having a make-up free face when out and about can be rather daunting but it was lovely to see my skin actually glowing with health rather than a bronzer doing the job.

Also as recommended by my therapist, it’s always a good idea not to reapply make-up straight away and let the ingredients of the ZO products do their work!

I would recommend the ZO Stimulator Peel to anyone looking for that instant skin pick-me-up and wanting to improve their overall skin tone. There’s no post- redness either that other peels can sometimes cause – just brilliant!
