Tom Armour and Ta1 Motorsport of Billericay were in action at the second Michelin Formula Renault UK Championship race at Thruxton in Hampshire at the weekend.
In Saturday's qualifier driver Tom (pictured in action) had his fastest lap of 1min 11.323sec with speeds reaching 118.91mph, which placed him in 10th position on the grid out of 29 cars.
However, in Sunday's race he missed the start because of a clutch problem, but he drove a fantastic race making up 12 places to finish 13th and he was awarded the ELF/Atol Driver of the day award along with £100 prize money.
