THURROCK comprehensively beat London Two North East Division leaders Colchester 26-11 away from home on Saturday.
Thurrock’s first half performance was the best all season, absorbing early home side pressure with some great defence Thurrock turned the ball over and quickly turned attack into defence and found themselves into the Colchester 22 and in an attacking position.
Ben Stanley, Luke Crowhurst, Andy Kettleton and Jamie Reid scored and Thurrock went in 26-6 up at half time.
The second half lacked cohesion and a lot of stop start rugby with one score for Colchester but Thurrock held on for the win.
This Saturday Thurrock entertains Ipswich with the kick off at 2.30pm.
