HUNDREDS of McFly fans descended on Billericay high street on Tuesday as two members of the boy band signed copies of their new CD Party Girl at Slipped Disc music store.
Dougie Poynter the bands bassist, who is originally from Corringham and attended Gable Hall School, and Tom Fletcher lead singer and guitarist, spent time signing copies and chatting to fans.
Owner of Slipped Disc, Carl Newsum, said: “The day went really well they were here for about an hour and a half, everyone got seen we didn’t have to turn anyone away which is always good. They’re really nice chaps too, no attitudes.”
Their single is currently number three in the midweek chart but the band is hoping to make it their eighth number one single in the UK.
