THIS year, the biggest baby show in Essex is giving mums the chance to show off just how adorable their babies are with ‘The Face of Mums, Bumps and Babies’ competition launch.
On the look out for the new face of Mum, Babies and Bumps: The Essex Mother and Baby Show, organisers are giving parents across the county the chance for their little ones to be the star of the show, fronting the event, which takes place in Colchester and Grays in September.
“We’re looking for Essex’s cutest baby,” says organiser Sarah Gummer. “The winner will not only be the face of Mums, Bumps and Babies: The Essex Mother and Baby Show but will also receive £250 to spend at either of the shows this year as well as four free tickets to their chosen show.”
Featuring over 100 exhibitors at Charter Hall in Colchester on 23 September and Impulse Leisure in Grays on 30 September, the events aren’t just designed with babies in mind, but mums too. From pamper treatments, health advice as well as a maternity fashion show, St John Ambulance will also be attending the shows, alongside the nominated charity Count the Kicks.
Plus, with special guest, The Bespoke Nanny, Kathryn Mewes, signing copies of her new book ‘The 3 Day Nanny: Simple 3-Day Solutions for Sleeping, Eating, Potty Training and Behaviour Challenges’, you’ll be able to get advice on sleep patterns, eating concerns, potty training, tantrums and the importance of instilling new routines.
“This show is about the mother and baby, gathering all services together under one roof,” says Sarah. “The main hall will host over 100 exhibitors, there is also a huge stage where a maternity fashion show will be taking place, as well as several talks from experts. There will also be a pamper section where mums can receive treatments such as massages and manicures.”
For the chance for your baby to be the face of the show with a photo shoot and £250 to spend at the event, send in your baby’s cutest picture, alongside their name and date of birth, parent or guardians’ names, address, email address and contact number to faceof@babyshowessex.co.uk by 9 July 2012.
A finalist will be picked from both North and South Essex. Each baby will have a free photoshoot, with the best pictures printed for the public to decide the overall winner.
Mum, Babies and Bumps: The Essex Mother and Baby Show takes place on 23 September at Charter Hall, Colchester and on 30 September at Civic Hall, Impulse Leisure, Grays from 10am to 4pm. T&C’s: Photo shoot will be with selected photographers who are exhibiting at the shows. Date availability will be restricted and you must be available for a photo shoot between 13 and 20 July 2012. If you have not achieved your photo shoot by 20 July 2012 you will forfeit your place in the competition. Mums, Bumps and Babies reserve the rights to refuse entry to any person and are not obliged to disclose reason. Babies must be under 24 months old on 30 September 2012. Entry to the competition is free, however costs such as stamps will not be refunded. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Mums, Bumps and Babies will not disclose reasons for finalist selection. Entrants must agree to take part in any post-competition publicity required. Mums, Bumps and Babies have the right to use any photos taken for the competition for promotional purposes including show magazine, banners, posters, website, facebook etc. Please remember that this competition is for fun and does not entitle your baby to an ongoing modelling contract.
