It’s time to do the TimeWarp as The Rocky Horror Show lands in Southend next week, starring none other than the incredibly talented (and original cast member) Christopher Biggins!

That’s right Transylvanian fans, The Rocky Horror Show is back and this time the tour will be signalling the re-opening of the Cliffs Pavilion in Southend with Christopher Biggins narrating what is known as one of the most electrifying and magnificent rock n roll musicals of all time.

So, what is it like for the star to be back on stage performing in the new tour of The Rocky Horror Show?

“It’s such a wonderful show and the fans absolutely love it,” says Christopher. “And because I’m the only original cast member, I get such a fantastic response. It’s a new production and has such a wonderful cast – I think our Frank ‘N’ Furter is much better than the original. Oh yes, David Badella is giving Tim Curry a run for his money!”

Nowadays known as the King of the Jungle, after winning I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here back in 2007 and again Celebrity Come Dine With Me last year, Christopher Biggins is a true character that has captured the hearts of the nation time and time again.

“I always think that it’s much nicer to be upbeat than to be down all of the time,” laughs Christopher in his signature chuckle. “That’s just who I am.”

And it’s clear that he truly appreciates his success – however he doubts that there will be any more reality appearances in the future.

“I think all of the producers are getting frightened now, because I keep winning everything you see!” laughs the 61-year-old. “Come Dine With Me was so fantastic and I’m pleased I got the opportunity to do it. And I loved every moment of I’m a Celebrity - but I’d never do it again!”

And now looking ahead to opening night at the Cliffs Pavilion, what can Christopher tell us about the show?

“It’s a really fun production, with some amazing songs and lots and lots of laughs,” he says. “Everyone is going to love it!”

The Rocky Horror Show runs from Monday 6 to Saturday 11 September. For tickets, call the Box Office on 01702 351 135 or visit www.thecliffspavilion.co.uk.
