Raider made gun threat in Post Office robbery

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at the Post Office in Brentwood Road, Herongate, Brentwood at 4.10pm on Monday.
A man with a plastic bag in the shape of a gun demanded cash from two women. The man made off with just £40. Neither woman was harmed. Officers believe the robber may have had a vehicle nearby, possibly a Kia Sedona.
The man is described as white, of large stocky build, about 5ft 10ins, with shaven, light hair, late 30s to early 40s. He was wearing a dark hooded tracksuit and gloves.
Anyone who saw the man before the incident or after the robbery or anyone with details of the getaway vehicle is asked to call Brentwood CID on 0300 333 4444.
