Police seek witnesses after fractured jaw attack

POLICE are seeking witnesses to an early morning assault in Rayleigh that left a man with a fractured jaw.

 

The 18-year-old was attacked while at a friend’s birthday party along Broad Oak Way at around 12.45am on Sunday morning.

 

The assault is believed to have taken place outside the address and was discovered when the victim sought help from the owners.

 

The man, who is from Southchurch, was initially taken to Southend hospital but then sent to Broomfield for specialist surgery on his jaw.

 

Due to the severity of his injury and the surgery police have been unable to obtain a full account of how he was injured.

 

They are appealing for anyone who was at the party or anyone in the vicinity who has any information to contact them.
