Police appeal after schoolboy struck by car

Police are appealing for witnesses to a road collision in Shoebury at about 3pm yesterday (Wednesday) after a young boy suffered serious injuries.

 

The 14-year-old boy from Southend was crossing Constable Way when he was struck by a green Fiat Punto driven by a 36-year-old man from Shoebury.

 

The boy sustained a serious head injury and was airlifted to the Royal London Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Police are appealing for witnesses to this collision and ask for anyone who saw this crash to contact Pc 1604 Yorke-Wade at Rayleigh Road Policing Unit on 0300 333 4444.
