Murder link man arrested in Spain

A MAN police were making inquiries to trace, in connection with the murder of 24-year-old Rocky Dawson in Hornchurch in 2006, has been arrested in Spain.

 

James Walter Tomkins, 61, was arrested earlier today (Wednesday 25 August) in Marbella by the Spanish authorities, who were working on behalf of the MPS.

 

He is due to appear in a Madrid court on Friday when extradition proceedings will begin.

 

He was first named as a person detectives wished to interview in August 2006.

 

In January 2007, Christopher Pearman of Waltham Abbey received a life sentence at Woolwich Crown Court, having pleaded guilty to murder. It was recommended he serve a minimum of 23 years imprisonment.
