POLICE are seeking information about a man, whose image has been captured on an efit, who attacked a lone woman.
The incident happened on Sunday 13 June at 1.15am a lone female was walking home along Ardleigh Green Road, towards Hornchurch after a night out with friends.
A young male walk was walking towards her with his hands in his jeans pockets and they briefly acknowledged each other.
As the male drew parallel with the victim he turned, removed his hands from his pockets and pushed her into the driveway of a house onto the ground.
The male used his knees to hold the victim on the ground and told her to do as she was told. At this time the victim was calling for help. The male then placed his hand over the victim’s mouth to stop the cries.
The victim bit her attacker and screamed for assistance - she was then released and the male left walking back along Ardleigh Green Road.
The victim flagged down passing motorists who called police and ambulance.
The victim sustained a cut to her arm and an injury to her head during this incident.
The white male is described at approx 30 years of age and of average build. He was dressed in a white t shirt, blue jeans and white trainers. He had a shaven head, was clean shaven and had hairy arms. He spoke with a gruff but local accent.
