
Billericay is in for a treat this weekend as Lakemeadows Park prepares for their special Gala, with none other than chart topping star Will Young taking to the stage on Sunday!
Taking place on Saturday 24 July and Sunday 25 July, the event will include performances from Will Young, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Elizabeth McDonald and Eurovision star Josh Dubovie.
On Saturday, get ready for a powerful evening of music as Barry Norman hosts the first day of The Proms in the Park. Featuring a 40-piece orchestra and soprano Elizabeth McDonald, who promises a sensational performance of a range of classic hits, this really is a musical evening not to be missed.
Gates open at 5pm with the concert starting at 7.30pm, tickets are free, on a first come first served basis and can be obtained by calling the box office on: 01268 465465.
And on Sunday prepare to be wowed by one of the biggest selling artists of the last 10 years, as Will Young brings his most famous hits including Leave Right Now and Your Game to the stage in Billericay!
Not only will the phenomenal Will Young be singing his heart out to the crowds, but the gorgeous top selling artist Sophie Ellis Bextor (below) will also be joining him on stage!
Basildon Councillor Kevin Blake, Cabinet Member for Arts and Leisure said: “This weekend is one of the biggest music events that has been held in Lake Meadows and I would encourage anyone who still wants to get a ticket to get in touch with the Towngate Box Office.”

Please Note: There are limited car parking spaces so spaces will be charged at £5, disabled access available, food can be brought on site and picnics are not permitted on the Sunday. Due to health and safety reasons, no barbeques, tables, gazebos, open fires, garden flares, windbreakers, or tented structures are permitted at this concert. Please note there will be no access to Lake Meadows through Lake Avenue. The Park will also be closed to the public from 12pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
