Enjoy vintage by the sea

vintage by the sea

Vintage lovers are in for a treat this September as the fantastic Handmade and Vintage Fair returns to Leigh-on-Sea.

At the first event in June, hundreds of local people spent hours browsing and buying from a unique collection of hand made jewellery, vintage clothing, home-crafted baby items and beautiful gifts.

And now vintage clothing seller, Anna Cooper, is calling on local people to host their own stalls at the next handmade and vintage fair on 18 September.

Anna says: “This is an excellent opportunity to showcase some fantastic local handicrafts as well as a wide range of vintage clothing and home wares. This kind of event is having a massive revival, especially in London and with the launch of the Vintage at Goodwood festival, so I’m keen to create the same kind of vibe in Leigh which I feel is the perfect location.”

Stall holder, Sarah Brown, has created her own bespoke clothing range using vintage fabric and haberdashery and is really excited about the forthcoming event, saying: “There was a lot of interest in my collection at the June event and I’m hoping the next event will showcase my designs to even more local people.”

If you would like to hold a stall at the Handmade and Vintage Fair, which will be held in Leigh Community Centre in Elm Road, contact Anna at acooper78@bt

This event is not the first of its kind in Essex as Anna would have you all believe. The Essex Vintage Fashion Fair is a quarterly Event in the county, in it's second year and it's a big event attracting local dealers and crafts people in the area. Ms Cooper and Ms Brown have also had a stand at this event but it seems they don't want to mention it in the paper - I wonder why?????

I would not say Anna has led anyone to believe it is the first event of its kind in the area Margaret!
