A 17-YEAR-OLD Billericay racing driver enjoyed great success in the opening rounds of the British GT Championship.
Daniel Brown, from Royston Heath, Billericay claimed instant success along with 24-year-old team-mate Stuart Hall as they stormed to victory in the opening two rounds of the Championship held at Oulton Park over the Easter weekend.
The duo in their Momo-backed Rollcentre Mosler lead from start to finish in the opening round on Saturday. The second round on Easter Monday saw the pair come from behind to eventually romp home with a 21-second win.
Reflecting on the opening rounds Daniel said: “After qualifying in pole position I was extremely nervous but as I got more into the race I started to relax, and I was very surprised to be leading by so much before handing over to Stuart.
“This was a big step up from what I was used to but I am now confident of following this result up with more success.”
The next round of the Championship is scheduled to take place at Donnington Park on April 26, before drivers make the trip to the Spa track in Belgium.
