Commuters in Basildon are facing traffic chaos this morning after a crash involving three vehicles on Five Bells Roundabout in Vange.
Fire crews were originally called to a fuel spillage just after 8am this morning following a road traffic collision.
At 8.39am crews reported that efforts were being made to release one casualty trapped in one of the vehicles.
Crews were forced to remove doors and a roof from one of the vehicles to release the trapped passenger.
The incident has caused traffic problems for those entering Basildon with Five Bells Roundabout blocked for commuters in the early morning rush hour.
