RESIDENTS in Wickford have been warned to look out for a potentially dangerous six foot long snake that has escaped from a home in the town.
The boa constrictor snake escaped from a bathroom window at the house in Barnfield on Friday and its owner has been unable to locate it. He describes it as not fully grown but could be a danger to small animals.
A police wildlife liaison officer advises that anyone who spots the snake should immediately ring 999 and not go near it as it could bite.
Police are searching the local area and have notified people in the neighbourhood to be aware of the missing snake.
